Robie: The Beautiful Boy
I chose to have a photoshoot of my cat, Robie. When taking these photos, I placed him on my bed and surrounded him in Christmas lights to make the photos more interesting. I edited the photos in photoshop. I increased the vibrance, saturation, brightness, and contrast. When placing the photos, I set up guidelines around the border of the layout, in the centre, and between the photos. The top two photos are 4x6 and the bottom one is 5x7. I used the rule of thirds when cropping the photos to line up with his eyes. I made the background a brownish grey to match the colour in the photos. I used a slightly lighter, smokey brush to give it a lighter feel and to accent the light in the photos. I added a drop shadow behind all the photos and the tittle to give the layout depth.
You Are Invited!
I decided to make my invitation to Billy the bulldog's 4th birthday party. I used a baby blue background, and red and white fonts and accents to give the invitation a bright and fun feel. I used a variety of fonts to make it more interesting. I gave "Billy's 4th Birthday" accent colours to make them stand out the most. I found a picture of a cute bulldog online, erased the background, and put a party hat on him to make the intent of the invitation clear and cute.
